We have a choice of challenges to suit your needs. You can do either a one-off challenge, or multiple challenges spread throughout the year. We recommend one per quarter to maximise engagement whilst delivering a strategic wellbeing programme. We can even offer bespoke challenges to suit specific business needs.

Active
BuddyBoost Active

Our original Active challenge focusses on any kind of physical activity for 26 minutes on 26 days in the month. This fits with medical guidance on the recommended exercise per week. 

It doesn't matter how far or how fast you go and is designed to include both the currently inactive and the super-fit. This means walking, running, gym, dancing, yoga all count the same. It helps people build healthy habits and boosts both physical and mental wellbeing.

Join our experts as they guide you through BuddyBoost Wellbeing, a fun, month-long challenge addressing four key pillars of good health.

Our core programme covers physical activity, mental health, nutrition and sleep, but can be tailored for the needs of your organisation by swapping in modules on work-life balance or sustainability. 


Featuring a mix of videos, blogs and audio, the daily bite-size content in BuddyBoost Wellbeing will help your people feel healthier, happier and more connected to each other.

Sleep

Good sleep is vital for overall wellbeing and BuddyBoost Sleep is a fun way for your colleagues to understand some of the science and habits behind sleeping better. 

Delivered via audio blogs in the BuddyBoost app, each day of the programme features simple tips and exercises to help people sleep better and feel more energetic.

 

BuddyBoost Sleep can be run as a standalone challenge or be experienced as part of the Wellbeing Challenge.

The Mind challenge is about taking some time to understand how our brains work and to give people practical and fun ways to help support their mental health.

Starting with some of the basics, the programme looks at the relationship between our mental health and other areas of wellbeing including physical activity, nutrition and sleep.

 

By taking on the daily challenge, BuddyBoost Mind will get your employees thinking about some of the science of happiness and give them everyday tips for building resilience and good mental health.

BuddyBoost Good Food is designed to help people to make better eating choices. The outcomes include new knowledge, more energy and team bonding.

The app provides daily bitesized, multi-media content (video, audio, written) around the role of nutrition in wellbeing, the psychology of eating and ways to improve wellbeing through food.

The 26 days of content has been provided by expert nutritionist, Jenny Tschiesche. It's designed to inform and inspire people, whether you are an avid foody or a clueless cooker, it's relevant for everyone.

Our Be Kind Challenge encourages people to perform a daily act of kindness like picking up litter, giving someone directions, doing the chore your partner most hates or simply praising a colleague for a job well done.

Research shows that even very small acts of kindness can have a positive impact on our wellbeing, stimulating areas of the brain that increase feelings of positivity and improved mood.

By encouraging daily acts of kindness and sharing them in the BuddyBoost community feeds, we’re looking forward to giving people’s wellbeing a boost.

Timeout

Take a 26-minute timeout every day to do something you enjoy. It can be reading, cooking, painting, gardening, gaming, walking, family time, music - anything as long as it’s not work!

The working day can be relentless with endless emails and back-to-back meetings. Energy levels drop, anxiety goes up and productivity down. 

Research has shown that taking a short break to do something you enjoy can reduce stress and anxiety. And 26 minutes is enough for a re-set. 
 

When you have the whole company on board (including the CEO!), it gives your employees permission to take that time out without the guilt, and everyone benefits. Including the business.

Menopause

Our Menopause programme has been designed with The NHS and specialist coaches to help people understand the menopause and its potential impacts on work and life.

Using BuddyBoost's peer support model, we deliver bite-sized daily content to look at how menopause can affect your work, your overall wellbeing, and your daily routine - all combined with some practical advice.

 

As well as helping those directly experiencing menopausal symptoms, this inclusive programme is beneficial for managers and colleagues too.

How to get started.

Speak to us about how you can use BuddyBoost in your company.

We will provide you with a full launch pack with all the assets you need to let your staff know what's happening and get them involved.

Employees buddy up into groups of up to 12. This could be teams, friends or departments. This smaller group allows more accountability and encourages everyone to get active.

12 buddies in a group

We'll give you a unique code that gives all your employees access to your private company community feed. Where you can post photos, videos, messages and cheer on your colleagues.
